Wellington, Monday. An important alteration in the in-ter-colonial passenger service was announced hy the Union Company. The Monowai is to withdraw from the Can Francisco mail service on her arrival at Sydney on, November 19? and ihe Maunganui will take up her runnirig returning to Sydney on Nevember 24. The Monowai is . to enter the intercolonial service which she will miaintain in conjunction with the Marama,' with' Melbourne as a port of call c! uring the summer months. The Monowai will take up her new running, leaving Sydney on November 25 for Auckland. She will return from Auckland to Sydney arid Melbourne, returning from Melbourne to Sydney and Wellington and will make this call at Melbourne periodically during the summer months. Thie Huddart-Parker Company's new motor motor liner, Archinoto, is expected to reach Australia early next year and will enter the inter-Colonial service in place of the Zealandia. It is believed sh'e also will include Melbourne as a port of call.
