ALLEGED LANDING OF ARMS IN JUGOSLAYIA

Rec. Oct. 10, 5.0 p.m. Belgrade, Oct. 9. Sensational reports of a revolutionary plot for which Croation peasants are drilling, being armed with rifles, revolvers and bombs, which were landed by an Italian submarine hetween Karlcbag and Jablanatz, led to 120 arrests in North Dahnatia, and
the flight of the alleged ringleaders, who were forruerly Parliamentarians and members of the Raditch Party. Dr. Markovitch, the Assistant Minister of the Tnterior, with 1000 gendarmes, mountain batteries and ma-chine-gun sections is making investigations and confiscating arms. The Government has ordered increased aetivity hy torpedo boat patrols between Fiume and Spalato. The rebels have destroyed four police posts, and held as hostages five gendarmes. Pernam Croat, a leader, was wounded at Skupshtine when Raditch was assassinated. Eight others have been arrested at Zagreb.
