SUPPUES OF NEW ZEALAND FINEST SHORT IN LONDON

-By Telegraph — Copyright) .

Rec. Oct. 10, 5.0 p-.m. London, October 9. The hutter marlcet presents a peculiar position. Finest New Zealand is dofinitely short, and is quoted at 115s per cwt; yet Australian is In surprisingly poor demand at 104s to 106s. It would appear as if the strength of the colonial hutter market at present is being maintained solely upon the shortage of New Zealand, A definite hreak is not expected for the next few weeks, and traders are pessimistic in regard to the future. The indications of comparatively heavy production in Australia have resulted in an entire lack of speculative demand for October shipments. Few buyers are interested even at 96s per cwt. Several important brokers however, consider pessimism over""done.
