-By Telegrn pli — OopyrlgM)
London, Oct. 3. The Sun learns that Mr. De Valera has requested the British Government to confer on Wednesday, October 5, and to discuss the entire Anglo-Irish deadlock: It is believed that the British Government having ascertained that Mr. De Valera is ready for a considerable compromise, has accordingly agreed to the summoning of the Speeial Cabinet Committee to confer with him. The committee includes Mr. Stanley Baldwin (Lord Privy Seal), Sir T. Inskip (Solicitor-General) and Mr. J. H. Thomas (Secretary for the Dominions) . It is understood that Ireland's inereasing plight has influenced Mr. De Valera in making his appeal. .Britain maintains her previous attitude hut is ready for a reasonable settlement, which will not violate the principles for which she is contending. .
