Hamilton, Wednesday. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday, September 27, as under*.1 — Fat Sheep: — A good yarding and prices were firmer, especially for pidme ewes. Extra prime fat woolly wethers made up to 15s; ordinary fat woolly wethers, 13s 6d; good shorn fat wethers, 11s 3d to 12s 3d; shorn wether hoggets, 9s 6d; shorn m.s. hoggets, 9s 8cl; young fat woolly ewes 9s 6d to 10s 6d; fat woolly ewes, 7s 6d to 8s 9d; fat shorn ewes, 7s 3d; spring lambs sold at last week's rates; fgt woolly hoggets up to 12s 6d. Store sheep: — A small number offered. We sold small Down cross hoggets at 8s 4d; cull ewes, 3s. Fat cattle: — A smaller yarding than usual, and prices were higher than last week. Extra choice ox beef sold at up to 22s per hundred. Ordinary fat bullocks at 20s per hundred and prime young cow and heifer beef at equal to 20s per hundred. Ordinary fat cows at equal to 18s per hundred; inferior, 12s per hundred. We sold medium weight bullocks at £5 12s to £6 16s; light fat bullocks, £5 to £5 10s; unfinished bullocks, £4 2s 6d; prime fat heifers up to £5 17s 6d; light ditto, £4 10s; heavy fat cows up to £6 3s; light fat cows, 35s to 55s. Store cattle : — A moderate yarding. A good dejnand existed for all classes. Good store cows, £2 5s to £2 10s; othex*s, 22s 6d to 32s 6d; boners, 10s to 16s. Pigs: — A large yarding of both fat and store pigs came forward and sold at prices slightly in advance of last week's rates. We quote: — Best baconers up to £2 10s; medium baconers £2 to £2 4s; lighter baconers, £1 12s to £1 19s; best porkers, £1 9s to £1 12s; medium, ditto, £1 2s to £1 7s; light porkers, 18s to 21s; stores, 19s to 26s; slips, 14s to 17s; weaners, 9s to 15s 6d.
