interesting programme The Opotiki Orchestral Society beld its second successful concert of 1932 season in the Regent Theatre on Tuesday evening. Miss L. Parkinson, F.T.C.L., L.A.B., L.L.C.M., was accompanist, and the orehestra was under the baton of Mr. Ian J. Thompson. The programme was as follows: — Tone Poem "By Blue Hawaiian Waters" (Ketelby) ; male chorus, two sea shanties "Bound for the Rio Grande" and "Blow the Man Down" with "Billie Boy" as an encore. Mr. E. Seville was "Shanty Man"; violin solo, Allegro Sonata, 8 Opus. 30, No. 3 (Beethoven), Miss D. Wolfe, L.A.B., encore Meditation from Thais (J.
