WEDDING BELLS

BUTLER — McPEAKE A very pretty wedding was solemnised yesterday morning in the Presbyterian Church, Taneatua, when Nessie Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs E. McPeake, of Taneatua, was married to John James, third son of Mr. and Mbs. W. Butler, of Waioeka, Opotiki. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, to the strains of the Wedding March played by the organist, Mrs. Varley. ' She wore a charming gown of ivory satin beaute with veil and; wreath of orange blossom. , The bridesmaids were Miss Gwen Brown, of Whakatane, who wore ,a froclc of nile green satin and Miss Joyce McPeake, who was frocked in, apricot' satin. Mr. Bert Hyland acted as best man and Mr. H. Reeves was groomsman.Master Erol McPeake made a dimunitive page boy and Miss Molly Rogers was a delightful little flower girl. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Butterworth'. After the ceremony, the bridal party and guests assembled at the residence of the bride's parents, where the wedding breakfast was served. Later in the day the happy couple left by car for Tauranga, where the honeymoon will he spent.
