TROUBLE BREWING JAPANESE CEREMONY FOR SIGNING OF TREATY CIIINESE APREHENSION

Rec. Sept. 15, 1 a.m. Shanghai, Sept. 14. The stage is set for the Japanese ; Government recognition of the new State of Manchoukuo. The signatures : will be affixed to the historic document at 11 o'clock on Thursday morning. This will be followed by . tho appointment of General Mudo as Ambassador to the new State. The Japanese Government is fully aware of the serious consequences of repercussions from 4:his ceremony, but no serious disturbances are anti- \ cipated until Sunday, when there will be a mass demonstration, causing precautionary mobilisation. It is the anniversary of the Japanese entry into ; Manchuria.. U Although China is still pinning her faith to the League of Nations, she will. address idontical notes to the Leaguo and to the signatories to the Nine Power Treaty, invoking their aid. If this is unavailing, China will be compelled to take active steps to recovery the territory.
