KING COUNTRY DEFEATS WAIKATO BY 23 — 18

Te Awamutu, Wednpsday Waikato and Ring Country met in a keenly fought Rugby match this afternoon. The King Country was moro than bxilliant in the first half, but in the second half Waikato turned defence into attack. At half time, the score was King Country 15 points, and Waikato 9. The game endcd in the defeat of Waikato by 23 points to 18. For the King Country, tries were scored by Morgafi, Gilbert, Tilley (2), all being converted by McLeod, who also kicked a penalty goal. The Waikato scorers were: Jackson (2), Denz, Storey, Aitken and Sedley. >
