I One breakfast cup of flour, % break- . i'asc cup sugar, 3 eggs, 2 level tea- ! ^poonsful cream of tartar, 1 teaspoonful carbonate soda, 3 tablespnons of melted butter, pinch salt. Sift the dry ingredients, add sugar, eggs, milk and butter. Beat them all together for three minutss, then add cream of tartar and mix well. Bake in tins in moderate oven. Cocoa or cinnamon may be added for a change. Curr'ied Sardines. Take on tin of sardines, drain the oil and thicken it with arrowroot and water. Add 1 dessertspoon of curry powder and keep stirring this and let it simmer for five minutes; then add sardines and let them heat through. Serve on hot buttered toast.
