ENJOYABLE BRIDGE EVENING

Three tables of progressive bridge were arranged by Miss Jean Pearce at her home in Fenton Street last Tuesday evening. To receive her guests, Miss Pearce wore a frock of apricot sprigged taffeta and black bridge coatee to tone, while her mother, Mrs. A. Brown, was in midnight blue embossed georgette. The bridge room was tastefully arranged with bowls of spring flowers and sprays of pussy willow. The prizes for the progressive tournament were won by Miss V. Steele and Miss A. Marsh, of Auckland. Those present were: — Mrs. J. Speer, Miss L. Dannefaerd, Miss M. Dannefaerd, Miss M. Cooney, Miss Oliver (Auckland), Miss A. Marsh (Auckland), Miss V. Steele, Miss G. La Trobe Hill, Miss V. Griffiths, Miss N. Holland and Miss E. McDowell. :
