HAMILTON CHILD HURT WHEN PLAYING WITH RIFLE

Hamilton, Saturday. Serious injury was sustained by Malcolm Sutherland, the five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Sutherland, of Tuhikaramea, through the accidental diseharge of a .303 rifle shortly before noon to-day. He was admitted to the Waikato Hospital with a bullet wound in the neclc. The child was playing with the 14 year-old son of Mr. E. Smith, when the rifle which they were handling discharged. The boy is in a serious condition.
