COAL INDUSTRY
REPRESENTATIVE DEPUTATION TO PROCEED TO WELLINGTON Whangarei, Saturday. The strongest and most representative deputation which has ever gone to Wellington on business connected with Northern mining affairs will leave Auckland next Thursday. The delegation will comprise: Sir George Elliott, chairman of Wilson (N.Z.) Portland Cement, Ltd., and Mr. S. Reid, the general manager; Sir Edwin Mitchelson and Mr. R. Stevens, directors of the Hikurangi Coal Co., Ltd. ; Mr. R. Nesbitt, chairman of the Hikurangi Town Board ; Mr. ' T. Mitchell, president of the Whangarei Chamber of Commerce; Mr. R. Scott Davidson, chairman of directors of the Waro Co-operative Collieries, Ltd., and Messrs H. M. Rushworth, W. E. Parry and R. Semple M.P.'s. Interviews haye been arranged with the Prime Minister, the Railways Board and the Unemployment Board.
