DE GROOT CASE
CLAIM AGAINST OFFICERS AS RESULT OF ARREST Sydney, August 28. In the Supreme Court on Wednesday will be heard an action under which Captain de Groot claims £5000 from Mr. Mark Gosling, former Chief Secretary, the Commissioner of Police Mr. T. E. Childs, and the Superintendent of Police, Mr. MacKay. The claim arises out of the bridge opening incident, and subsequent arrest and imprisonment.
