Rec, Aug. 21, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, August 21. A message from Townsville states that Joseph Granshaw, aged 39 years, railway fitter, run amok and killed his infant son with a bootlast and then attaclced Mrs Elizabeth Nees, aged 24 years with a razor blade, inflicting terrible injuries to her face, neck and shoulder, necessitating 30 stitches. Her condition is critical. Granshaw then committed suicide by severing arberies in his arm and taking poison. He boarded with Mrs. Nees' mother.
