EX-MATE FOUND GUILTY OF EMPLOYING AN EXPLOSIVE Christchurch, Thursday. The trial was concluded in the Supreme Court of George Thomas Mouncer (35), charged with placing an explosive on the steamer Tees with intent to do bodily harm to Captain A. B. Anderson. The jury brought in a verdict of guilty with a rider that stricter precautions should be taken in the care and distribution of gelignite and explosives generally. His Honour said that he would instruct the registrar to forward the rider to the Minister of Justice (Hon. J. G. Cobbe) and the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. A. Hamilton). Mouncer was remanded for sentence until Tuesday.
