SOCIAL AFTERNOON
WOMEN 'S CLUB MEETS. The usual monthly afternoon of the Rotorua Women's Club was held last . Tuesday, and, despite the adverse wea- : iher conditions, there was quite a large attendance of members. - The president, Mrs. I. M. Davidson, . welcomed the ladies present, and after various correspondence had been dealt with, the president opened a dicussion which had already been given much thought by the Women's Club, namely, that of having woman representation in Parliament. Mrs. Davidson explained. that the 'club had already written to the National Couneil stating their views, and Mrs. W. L. Richards moved that a letter be written reaffirming their previous remit. This was duly seconded by Mrs. W. A. Carter. In the course of the afternoon's pi*oceedure it was formally resolved that the annual meeting be pQstponed until March of 1933. The meeting then elosed with afternoon tea and a pleasant social chat.
