OTTAWA, Wednesday. The ofiicial spokesman announced to-day that Mr. Stanley Baldwin's letter setting out the British views on the Canadian offer is being considered by a Canadian Cahinet sub-com-mittee, consisting of Messrs. Bennett, Stevens, Rhodes, Ryckman and Cahan. The spokesman emphasised that there have been no differences or quarrellmg between the British delegates and the Canadians, but there are radical differences of opinion regarding what Canada's offer means to Britain in increascd trade. Ile added: "So marked is the difference that it is wondered from what angle the two groups of statisticians and experts are working. The Cahinet sub-committee is reconsidering the figures." The spokesman proceeded that it should he remembered that it is much moro difricult for Britain and Canada to reach a detailed agreement than Biiinin and Australia, or Britain and New Zealand, while Canada is highly developed industrially.
