The negotiations have raised some knotty points for the conference. It is now regarded as ccrtain that the Australian and New Zealand agreement provided for a tax of three-farthings on foreign mutton and lamb and a quota for butter. Agreements with the Dominions are expected to embrace a tax of 2d. a dozen on foreign eggs and duty on foreign bacon and apples.
