REDEMPTION APPLICATIONS PASS TWO MILLI0N MARK
RUGBY, Saturday. Applications for the conversion of War Loan have now reached the 2,000,000 marlc. Only 000,000 holdings remain to be dealt with. The Bank of .England yesterday received 040,000 applications for conversion and 3,400 for redemption. The applications .to the post offiee savings bank were 21,000, bringing the aggregate to 090,000, of which over 000,000 were for conversion. Many holders who originally applied for redemption in cash have since can-Cc-lled their applications and requested conversion. One such app-licati'on yesterday was for £500,000.
