HAMILTON, Wednesday. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards, on Tuesday, 26th July, as under : — Fat sheep: An average yarding. Prices were on a par with last week's rates. Prime wethers sold at up to i 13/9; fat wethers, 12/6; fat ewes' were yarded in fair numbers and the quality generally was much abo-Ye* the usual. Extra prime fieavy fat ewes sold from 9/6 to 1,0/3; medium quality ewes, 8/6; light and unfinished, -6/- to 7/-; fat lambs sold at fmjn 8/- to 11/6 for extra heavy. Fat cattle: An average yarding. Extra prime ox beef sold at last week's rates, but ordinary quality was a shade lower. Cow and heifer beef sold at last week's rates. We j sold well finished bullocks on account of Mr. E. W. R. Leslie up to £6/14/-. A truck averaging £5/18/-; light bullocks, £4/10/- to £4/17/6; fat cows and heifers sold from £2/5/to £4/11/-; unfinished cows and heifers, 25/- to 35/-. Store sheep: There was a good demand for the small offering yarded, both ewes in lamb and hoggets being in demand. We sold 2-th. wethers at 8/11. Store cattle: A fair yarding of stores, including a few pens of good Jersey yearlings, which commanded keen competition. Pigs: Approximately 600 store pigs were yarded, with a short entry of porkers. Stores dropped in value owing to the large yarding. We sold: Best porkers, £1/7/- to £1/11/-; medium porkers, £1 to £1/6/-; smaller porkers.' 16/- to 19/-; best stores, 15/- to 20/6; slips, 7/- to 14/-; best weaners, 9/- to 11/-; others, 6/6 to 8/6; sows and nine young, £4/15/-; sows in pig, up to £2/15/-.
