CAMBRIDGE SALE.
HAMILTON; Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their tri-weeldy Cambridge stock sale held yesterday as follows: — Cattle: The fat and store cow pens contained about the usual number of head. No prime quality beef was yarded, competition being steady for that offered, and values quoted are fully on a par with recent rates. Stores and boners realised late quotations. Another full yarding of dqiry cows and heifers came before a large gathoring of buyers. Bidding^ was particularly keen for good sort~ of dairy cows close up, while a good sale was effected also for meditim and poorer quality animals. Interest was not so keen for dairy heifers, but these changed hands at values firm on late rates. Medium ox beef made £4/10/- to £5/5/-; medium fat cows, £3/10/to £4/2/6; lighter do., £2/15/- to £3/10/-; light do., £1/18/- to £2/5/-; killable, £1/10/- to £1/17/-; stores, 16/- to £1/4/-; boners up to 14/-; best quality dairy cows, close up, £8/10/- to £10/15/-; medium sorts, £6/5/- to £8/5/-; poorer do., £4 to £6; backward, up to £3/10/-; good heifers, £6 to £7; medium sorts, £5 to £6; others made £3/15/- t*o £4/10/-. . Sheep : A small entry sold at prices on a par with late rates. Fat lambs, 8/6 to 9/6; medium store lambs, 5/to 6/-. . Pigs: Only a few pens of stores and weaners came forward and_ a decided increase in values was prmcipally due to this fact. Medium stores, 15/- to 18/-; smaller do., 12/to 14/-; weaners, 8/- to 12/-. The advertised horses were in keen demand, making for the draughts £23 'to £29/10/-; lighter geldmgs made £14/10/-.
