YESTERDAY'S YARDINGS.

HAMILTON, Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their Frankton stock sale held to-day as follows: — Cattle :The entry of ox and cow beef was a medium one. The bullocks yarded were only light to medium quality, while all sorts of cow beef were olfered. Competition generally was brisk, but although prices barely touched last week's advanced rates they were still appreciably higher than at previous saies. Store cows sold under usual demand. Although there was a heavy offering of yearling heifers the supply was insufficient for buyers' requirements, and the lot changed hands under very keen bidding. Medium weight prime bullocks made £5/5/- to £6/5/-; lighter quality do., £4/5/- to £5; light do., £3/15/- to £4/2/6; prime fat cow and heifer beef, £4/17/6 to £5/15/-; medium quality do., £3/15/- to £4/15/-; lighter do., £2/15/- to £3/7/6; light do., £2 to £2/12/6; killable, £1/14/- to £2; stores, 16/to £1/5/-; boners up to 14/-; good vealers, £1/19/- to £2/6/-; well grown yearling heifers, £2/ 4/- to £3; medium sorts, £1/14/- to £2/2/-; poorer do., £1/5/- to £1/12/6. Sheep: A very slight improvement is reported for fat sheep, the bulk of which were good quality ewes. Lambs, which came forward in small numbers realised late rates. Store sheep, comprising mainly in-lamb ewes, realised satisfactory prices. Prime wethers made 11/6 to 13/6; medium quality do., 10/- to 11/-; lighter do., 9/- to 10/-; good fat ewes, 8/6 to 9/7; fair quality, 7/6 to 8/6; medium lambs, 9/6 to 11/-; poorer do., 8/- to 9/6; inferior store ewes (in-lamb), 6/3 to 6/7; medium stores (in-lamb), 8/4. PigS: — A small entry of porkers resulted in a slight increase in prices. A full yarding of stores and weaners met with a slightly easier demand than has been ruling at recent saies, and values declined slightly. Heavy porkers, £1/8/- to £1/10/-; medium porkers, £1/4/- to £1/7/-; light do., £1 to £1/3/-; large stores, 18/- to £1; medium do., 12/- to 16/-; good weaners, 8/- to 10/-; small do., 5/to 7/-.
