Mr. and Mrs Montgomery, of Christchurch, have received word that they ' have been transferred to Rotorii^. The older residents of the town will remember them well, as Mr. Montgomery was stationed in Rotorua for many years in the Forestry Department. •Mrs. E. Johnson, of Ranolf Street, returned home this weelc after a brief visit to Auckland. Miss Stenett, of Whaka Road, who had intended leaving this week for . j-ustralia by' the Mariposa, had the misfortune to fracture her wrist, thus preventing her from making the journey. Mrs. C. Grove, Jnr., who has been visiting her mother in Auckland, returned to her home in Eruera Street this week. Mrs. F. Speneer, of Ranolf Street, has been spending a few days at Thames. Mrs. E. J. Mears, of Hamilton, is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Budd, of Victoria Street. Mrs. Tudhope and Miss Alison Toiiks, of Hamilton, are paying a sliort visit to Rotorua and arfe staying at Brent's Bathgate House-. Miss J. Bertram and Miss H. Ford rode through to Paengaroa this week to attend the hunt. " Mrs. N. M. Eeane, of Devon Street, has left on an extended trip to Sydney. Mrs. B. M. Greene', of Arawa Street, has returned from a short visit to Auckland.
