(Opotiki), Mrs. Jafley's Waxworks • (Te Puke), Old English Dances (Opo- , tiki), Oh! Oh! Oh! It's a Lovely War j (Opotiki), Three Old Maids of Lee (Te 1 Puke)). The opening chorus was an action song by the Opotiki boys and girls dressed in pierrot costume and VraS exeellently received. Mrs. Jarley's Wkxworks by Te Puke was a humorous item which caused a good deul of laughter. The three old English ; dances given hy Opotiki, in which the • costum'es were old English', was one 1 of the prettiest items of the evening. ' Tauranga gave an original 'and breezy item in Music, Magic and Madness," while Whakatane gave extracts from The Pirates of Penzarice in costume. " A fashiori parade by Te Puke caused a good deal of merriment, being a burlesque' in old fashioned cos- | tumes of a modern mannequin parade. |
