HAMILTON, Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Hamilton, report having held their weekly Frankton stock sale yesterday, details of which are as follows: — Cattle: Ot beef was yarded in about the average numbers and met with steady competition, late rates being fully maintained. The quality was prime, though most were only medium to light weight. Prices for cow beef, which was yarded in about the usual numbers, receded a shade on last week's market, while store cattle did not alter in value. We quote : Medium weight prime quality bullocks, £4/5/- to £5; lighter prime do., £3/12/6 to £4/2/-; light prime, and medium quality heavy ox,: £3/7/6 to £3/12/6; prime fat cows and heifer beef, £3/5/- to £3/17/6; medium quality fat cows, £2/15/- toj £3/5/-; smaller do., £2/7/6 to. £2/12/6; light and unfinished, i £1/17/6 to £2/5/-; killable, £l/8/-| to £1/12/-; stores, 12/- to £l/5/-;( boners, 8/- to 12/-; vealers, £1/5/to £1/13/-. Sheep: The entry was comprised of a heavy number of fat wethers, while fat ewes ar.d lambs were offered in average numbers. There was a fair demand, and prices were ve-y firm on recent quotations for wethers and ewes, while lamos decreat>ed slightly in value. 170 medium to prime fat wethers realised 11/6 to 14/-; light do., 10/- to 11/6; prime ewes, 8/9 to 10/6; medium quality do., 8/3 to 8/9; lighter, 7/6 to 8/-; fat lambs, 9/- to 10/6; lighter do., 8/- to 9/-. Pigs: There was a small yarding of both fat and store pigs. Porkers were firm at late rates, but baconers again dropped in value. Stores advaneed in pric° owing to tne small entry. We quote: Heavy baconers, £1/14/- to £1/16/-: light do., £1/8/- to £1/10/-; heavy porkers, £1/6/- to £1/8/-; medium do., £1/3/to £1/5/-; light do., 18/- to £1/1/-; large stores, 13/- to 16/-; medium do., 9/- to 12/-; slips, 6/- to 8/-.
