DALGETY AND COMPANY.
HAMILTON, Wednesday. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their usual weekly stoek sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday, June 28th as under: — Fat sheep : A moderate yarding and prices were on a par with last week. Extra prime wethers made up to 14/6. Fat 2-tooth wethers, 12/1. Unfinished and light wethers sold at 9/3 to 10/6. Fat ewes sold at 6/6 to 8/3. Fat woolly lambs to 10/6. Unfinished 7/- to 8/-. Fat cattle. An average yarding. Prices generally were about the same as last week, althoug'h bullocks were a shade lower. Prime cows, £2/5/to £2/18/-. Prime heifers, 50/- to 65/-. Light and inferior fat cows and heifers, 28/- to 38/-. Others 20/- to 25/-. Store cattle. A moderate yarding of indifferent quality, principally boner cows which sold at late rates. Pigs: Both fat and store pigs came forward in small numbers. Very few baconers were yarded. We sold medium baconers, £1/10/- to £1/14/-; heavy porkers, £1/4/- to £1/9/-; medium porkers, 18/- to £1/3/-; light porkers, 14/- to 17/-; choppers, 18/- to £1/10/-; best stores. 12/- to 16/6; slips, 9/- to 11/6 ; weaners, 4/- to 6/-.
