AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports as follows upon its Westfield Sale to-day: — • Beef was in large numbers with a steady demand. Values were on a par with last week's quotations: Choiee ox 19/- per liundred pounds, other sorts 13/- to 18/-; cow and heifer, 15/- to 18/-; ordinary, 12/to 14/-; prime steers, £5/5/- to £7; light £4 to £5; cows and heifers, £3/7/0 to £4/12/6; light, £2/10/to £3/5/-. Calves. Values better. Vealers, £1/6/- to £1/16/-. Pigs: Firm. Baconers, £1/18/- to £2/8/-; porkers, £1/3/- to £1/16/-; £2/8/-; porlcers, £1/3/- to £1/16/-. and sold readily at Iate values. Wethers, 30/- to 15/-; ewes, 7/- to 10/6.
