Rec. June 26, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Saturday. The Cunard Company New York offices have hean advised that the Scythia's fuel test realised all expectations. Officials are delighted with the experiment. A new vista seems to have opened for British shipping, and merchant ships and the Navy will be altogether independent of foreign fuel. A reeent cahle message stated that the Scythia was fueled with a special preparation of oil and coal which it was expected would lead to important economies in marine fuelling systems.
