WIDOW MAKES APPLICATION FOR MAINTENANCE MONEYS

WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Hunter will case was prominent in the Supreme Court to-day, there being an array of counsel, as the outcome of application by Lady Hunter for a temporary order to enable the Public Trustee to pay over such money as he had in hand to meet the situation in which she was placed, until either farm property commenced to produce or other sourcss became available. A second application was made on belialf of the child Betty. This was also in the nature of an expedient to provide some means for maintaining her till ineome became available. Counsel said that Lady Ilunter's circumstances on account of the present economic depression, had become absolutely desperate, as she had had no income whatever since her husband's death. His Honour said he would give an early decision in view of the urgency of the matter. '
