INJURY TG H.ART COMPELS REPLACEMENT BY ' T. BALL AUSTRALIAN TOUR
— By Telegraph — Copyright).
WELLINGTON, Tuesdqy. The New Zealand Rugby team for the Australian tour assembled in "V^ellington to-day, most of the members having arrived this morning. Through a mishap on Saturday afternoon, the team is not likely to Jhave the services of G. F. Hart (Cante£bury) v/ho had been selected for the tour. Hart had a bone in his shoulder fractured on Saturday. After examination, he thought the injury would not prevent him from being fit te play ih about a fortnight, and on the strength of this he was ordered to go to Wellington with the other southern members of the team. A further medical examination of the injured shoulder was carried out today, however, and it is understood that as a result there is little prospect of Hart being fit for play for some weeks. Mr. T. Ball of Wellington, has received advice that he has been ineluded in the New Zealand tqam. Hart is to remain behind for treatment, and there is a possibility of his being' 'fit in time to join the New Zealand team for some of the matches to takq place in Australia.
