WELLINGTON, Tuesday. With the official functions disposed of, the general public took the opportunity of bidding the New Zealand Olympic team good-bye and goqd luck at the ship's side. When the Monowai pulled out, a large crowd had gathered and it gave the team cheer after cheer as the gap between the ship and the wharf widened. It was originally intended to hold an official function in one of the wharf sheds, but this was dispensed with.
