In the ease of a fire occurring at the earburettor, following a baek-fire, or a blow-back resultant from a brolcen valve, do not stop the engine, unless your car has fuel pump feed. First turn off th'e petrol supply to the earburettor, then race the motor so that the fuel in the earburettor will be used before the fire Can spread. For rapid blazes the best remedy is to smother the earburettor with a felt hat. v-
