REMOVAL OF LANG MINISTRY'S RESTRICTIONS ON TRADE END OF COMPULSORY UNIONISM

Rec. May 17, 11 p.m. SYDNEY, Tuesday. Mr. B. S. Stevens' Cabinet's first act to-day included the removal of the Lang Government restrictions on trade, industry and transport and abolished compulsory unionism. It also vetoed the Lang proposal that the Minister of Labour should visit Canberra in order to try and induce the Federal Government to allocate to New South Wales the full share of the unemployment vote of £1,200,000.
