(Press. Assn.—
CABINET FOREGOES SALARIES
-By Telegrnph— Copyrlght).
Rec. May 17, 7.20 p.m. SYDNEY, Tuesday. The Premier, Mr. B. S. Stevens, intends to deliver the Government's policy speeeh early next week. The members of the new Ministry have agreed to forego the Ministerial salaries. The election campaign begins immediately. The fact that United Australia Party supporters have undertaken not to contest the seats hitherto beld by Country Party members, and also that an amicable working agreement has been reached, has caused the utmost satisfaction in anti-Labour circles. Eleven seats must be won from Labour in order to give Mr. Stevens a bare working majority. At least 10 seats are expeeted to be won in country areas and probahly five in the Metropolitan area.
