NOTICE SERYED ON STATE COMMISSIONER OF TAXATION DENIES HAVING CUSTODY

SYDNEY, Thursday. The Commonwealth Government has served a notice on the State Taxation Commissioner, Mr. E. J. McMahon, requiring him to deliver within four days all taxation flies and documents now in the possession of the State taxation authorities. It is understood that the Commissioner takes up the attitude that he is unable to produce them as they are not even available to him.
