GREATEST STREET ROBBERY IN BRITAIN'S HISTORY BANK CLERKS ROBBED

Rec. April 26, 9.5 p.m. LONDON, Tuesday. Great Britain's biggest street robbery occurred when four motor bandits attackedi- bank clerks in broad daylight in a busy Portsmouth street and stole £23,477 fn bank notes, with which they sped off at 60 miles per hour. An elderly bank messenger, who jumped on to the escaping car's ruping board was knocked unconscious.
