Rec. April 26, 7.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Tuesday. Mr Albert Victor Chaffey, aged 40 a dairy farmer, was found dead in a yard near his home at Gle'n Innes with a bullet wound in the rear of his skull, apparently shot from behind. A sum of money. had been stolen from his belt. Mr. Chaffey was a member of one of the most prominent families in the country. He was a cousin of Gaptain F. A. Chaffey, a member of the New South "Yvales Legislative Assembly and Minister for Mines in Mr Bavin's last Ministry. Detectives are of the opinion that it is a case of murder and are investigating.
