FAREWELL EVENING
Mr. and mrs. h. aston honoured bt friends. On Tuesday evening a large party of friends and well-wishers gathered at the apartments of Mr. and Mrs. h. Aston, of Tutanekai Street, to hid farewell to their hosts, who are leaving Rotorua to take up their residence in Auckland. Since its formation six years ago, Mr. Aston has acted as custodxan of the Citizens' Club, and in that capacity has made a wide circle of friends. During the course of a very pleasant social evening, Mr. Aston was made the recipient of a leather suitcase and Mrs. Aston of a handsome handbag, as marks of the general esteem hi which they kre held, arid small mementoes of their residence in the clistrict. Cordial gobd wishes for the success of Mr. and Mrs. .Aston in their new sphere were expressed, and a very enjoyable evening was spent by all present.
