CRASHED WINGLESS 'PLANE OVER 600 FOOT CLIFF TEST OF SHQCK-ABSORBERS
-By Telc graph — CopyrJght)
PARIS, Saturday. Albert Sauvart, in order to test his new shock-absorber which he claims will render an aeroplane crash-proof, : pushed a machine, which had neither wingp nor engine, off a precipice near Grasse. It fell into a ravine 600ft. below. The machine struck the cliff several times, and landed with a terrific crash. His friends believed that Sauvan would be killed, but he jumped out uninjured. The police several times prevented the test, but on this occasion Sauvan was able to find a deserted spot. He says he was a bit shaken up,( but he is satisfied with the result.
