KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR CYCLE IN CITY STREET ABLE TO GO HOME

AUCKLAND, Tuesday. As a result of injuries received when he was knocked down by a motor cycle in Queen Street last night, F. Wheelhouse, aged 21, died in the hospital this morning. Wheelhouse was a married man, living in Newmarket, and was a elerk employed by Messrs L. D. Nathan, Limited. He was knocked down by a motor cycle near Fort Street as he was ahout to cross the street. Immediately after the aecident he was taken to a pharmacy near the scene of the aecident and treated for shock. He rested for a time, and then stated he thought he was well enough to go home. He did so, and said he would follow the advice given and go straight to bed. About 7 o'eloek, however, Dr. Viv4?n was called and he ordered the Injured man to the hospital, where he was admitted at 1.50 a.m. in a semiconscious condition.
