' Orie cup brown sugar, cups water. 1 cups seeded raisins, 2oz cirron cut fine, 1-3 cup lard, ' teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, J teaspoon cinnamon, 2 cups flour, 5 teaspoons baking powder. Boil sugar, water, fruit, lard. salt and spices together in saucepan for three minutes. When cool, add flour and baking powder, which have been sifted together; mix well.
