Rec. May. 9, 8. p.m. NEW YORK, Tuesday. On the eighth day after the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby, no more definite progress toward the recovery of the child seems to have been made than on the first day. There is reported to be an altercation between Cjolonel , Lindbergh and the police' concerning surveillance by the latter over telephone messages received from the Lindbergh home.
