claim for reimbursement under guarantee fund JUDGE RESERVES DECISION NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday. Mr. Justice Blair reserved his decision on Saturday in an interesting case under the Solieitors' Fidelity Cuarantee Fund, said to be the first of its kind in the Dominion, in which Nelson Ben Bishop proceeded against t^e New Zealand Law Society for £1,052. The action arose out of the recent conviction of the Inglewood solicitor, Ilarold Thomson and his managing e'ei'k, Robert Barlow, for misapprornation of trust funds. Nelson asks f ar reimbursement of the money that Thomson, as his solicitor, should have paid him. The defence for the New Zealand Law Society stated that the money was stolen prior to November, 1929, and before the Act came into foree. During the hearing, counsel for the Law Society explained that the society had already paid out £5,200 to elients in respect of the defalcations of Thomson and Barlow, and that another £200 had yet to be paid.
