COST OF LIVING

REPEAL OF ACT URGED BY MASTER BAKERS PALMERSTON N., Friday. The Master Bakers' Conference passed a resolution that the delegates urge upon the Government the desirability of immediately repealing the Commercial Trusts Act and the Cost of Living Act supplementry thereto, In support of the request the delegates respectfully point out that the Cost of Living Act was acknowledged as being purely a wai* measure, apart from the fact it was maintained that the Government has ample powers to deal with matters as provided under both Acts, the repeal of which is now urged. It was decided to extend an invitation for the Federal Conference of Australia and New Zealand to be held in the Dominion in 1935.
