DOING WORK ON FKEM15L5 WITHOUT HOLDING LICENSE

WHAKATANE, Wednesday. Eric Clark, of Whakatane, pleaded guilty before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the "Whakatane Magistrate's Court this week, to a charge of doing sanitary work on premises without having a license. .Martin J. Fogarty, sanitary inspector for the Whakatane Borough Council, prosecuted and stated that he had inspected premises of a new house erected in Whakatane. On enquiring who had done the plumbing work, he had found that .it had been carried out hy defendant who when questioned admitted the charge. Defendant stated that he th'ought the work done was outside the Borough Council area. He was fined £1 and costs 12s.
