A FIASCO

STRIKE PROTEST AGAINST DEPORTATIONS OF REBELS MADRID, Tuesday. A general strike which was declared as a prSyfe against the deportations of those'who took part in the Catalonian revolt ended in a fiasco. The Civic Guard's in Madrid arrested 30 ring-leaders, who were trying to rally the strikers. Several bombs were exploded on the train lines and two trams were held up at the point of revolvers and then shattered with dynamite. The chief disorders occurred in the Communist strongholds in Barcelona, and Tarassa, where two railways were dynamited. At San Andres a signalman had just time to stop the express hitting a bomb, which was attached to the rails.
