RADIO INTERFERENCE

ATTENTION PROMISED Representatives of district radio listeners-in met Mr. E. C. Gage and Mr. H. G. Lakeman, telegraphic engineers, of the Auclcland post office district, last night, and placed before them the many diffieulties they had to put up with in Rotorua. They stressed the fact that the level of interference in Rotorua was very high, and practically made reception impossible for the greater part of the day. Mr. Gage assured the deputation that he would do everything possible to alleviate the position, but at present broadcasting was in the melting pot. He was quite certain, however, that the new board would do everything possible to suppress interference, as it had been advised of the unfortunate position that existed in Rotorua.
