LADIES' TENNIS
NEW SOUTH WALES VISITORS IN ROTORUA. The members of the New South Wales ladies' tennis team who have beeii visiting Rotorua, . left for Wairakei last Friday, after delightihg Rotorua tennis players with some very interesting exhibition matches in both singles and doubles at the Government Gardens, on Thursday. Two singles matches were played hy Miss V. Valkenburg and Miss N. Hall, Mrs. Molesworth and Miss J. Hartigan. The doubles match featured Mrs. Molesworth and Miss Valkenburg and Miss J. Hartigan and Miss N. Hall. After the games the visitors were entertained at' afternoon tea in the Government Tea Kiosk by members of the Rotorua Lawn Tennis Club. Those present included: — Mrs. W. A. MeLean, Mrs. S. H. Hay, Mrs. A. E. Booth, Mrs. L A. Lewis, Mrs. L. J. Bayfeild, Mrs. Potts, Mrs. W. W. P. Hall, Mrs. E. G. Guy, Mrs. L. Nichols, Mrs G. French, Mrs. J. Halkett, Mrs. J. St. Clair, Mrs. M. S,. Shuttleworth. Mrs. A. Johnstone, Mrs E. Crawford, Mrs. E. T Johnstone, Mrs Shiels, Mrs. L. Shaw, Mrs. H. Goodwin (Auckland), Mrs. C .Burling, Mrs. C. M. Young, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Oakes, Mrs. Holdsworth, Mrs. Morrison, Mrs. R. Stewart. Mrs. F. Gfove, Miss 3L Hall,
Miss G. Booth, Miss Webber, Miss Hill, Miss M. Nelson, Miss J. Wilson, Miss M. Cumming, Miss M. Bertram, Miss J. Barber, Miss J. Bertram, Miss G. Hill, Miss P. Wallace, _Miss Roe, Miss L. Hawksworth, Miss Woods, Miss Mitchell, Miss Ward, Miss Robertson and Miss Meehan. During their stay in Rotorua the visitors made a hasty Tbut eomprehensive inspeetion of the various scenic attractions of Rotorua and expressed themselves very pleased with the Ward baths. .
