PLAYERS FROM OTHER CLUBS NOW VISITING ROTORUA. The South Auckland Croquet Tournament riow in progress at Rotorua, has drawn many competitors from croquet clubs of surrounding districts. At present, with the Gardens themselves at their best, the lawns dotted with players and flanked with spectators sheltering from the strong wind beneath gaily coloured parasoles, the Rotorua Government Gardens present a truly picturesque aspect. Every morning and afternoon tea is served in the marquee erected for the purpose at the side of the pavilion and everything possible in the way of interesting entertainment is being done to ensure the success of the tournament and to retain the interest of the visitors. Mrs. Fraser, president of the South Auckland Croquet Association, and member of the Claudelands Croquet Club, and Mrs. Hargreaves, also of the Claudelands Club, and Mrs. Bell, of Cambridge, are visiting Rotorua for the annual tournament now being held in Rotorua. They are staying at Grande Vue. Mrs. Kibblewhite, holder of the New Zealand Ladies' Croquet Championship title, is partaking in the tournament at present being held in Rotorua, ahd is staying at her summer residence. Mrs. Meikle and Mrs. Hawken, of the Te Aroha and Hamilton Croquet Clubs, respectively, are staying at the Bungalow. Mrs. Martin, secretary of the South Auckland Croquet Association, and Mrs. Pearce and Mrs. Tucker, of the Cambridge Domain Club, are guests at the Denbies for the croquet tournament. Mrs. White, of the Cambridge Domain Croquet Club, and Mrs. Wigzell, of the Frankton Club, are staying at Surrey House. Mrs. Bellgrave, of the Frankton Croquet Club, is at Surrey House. Mrs. W. Coltman, Mrs. J. Isemonger, and Mrs. M. Webber, of the Auckland Croquet Club, and Mrs. Bartlett, of the Frankton Club, are staying at the Bungalow. Mrs. Wild, Mrs. Hamlyn, Mrs. Bliss and Mrs. Hepburn, of Te Aroha, are partaking in the croquet tournament at Rotorua and are staying at Ihe Waiteti Fishing Lodge.
